Mythological Mindsets
Consider for a moment the colors of the walls in your home, or maybe the home of a friend you like to visit. I have a friend whose house has warm tones of red and casual, cheery yellows, with soothing rooms of green or sea blue. It's a wonderful place to have a chat with a cup of tea.

Why do we care what colors our walls are? Or what's hanging on them? Or whether the room is tidy?
Our bodies are highly attuned (whether we notice or not) to the feelings of our surroundings. A sunny day affects us differently than the 6th day of foggy, misting rain in a row. We absorb our environments through our bodies, and our senses, and this impacts our thoughts, moods, beliefs, and being.

And that's just the weather or the color of a room...
Now imagine for a moment how it feels to be in a parking lot, full of the regular commotion of cars, versus an open field, under a river of stars unfettered by the lights of the city.
Different, no?
Then maybe you can stretch the experience a titch further and suppose the shifts of seasons, light and darkness, warmth and cold also intersect and engage with your body and make an impression.
Natal charts readings operate on just that assumption. More specifically, they assume that the very first impression (made by all the things) on your newborn embodied being was, well, kinda big. Kinda important. If you take the word “kinda” out of the sentence.

In the Mythological Mindset, we explore the energies (seasons, surroundings, etc) and the celestial archetypes present in your natal chart, as well as the mythologies and cultural histories associated with those archetypes and energies.

This is not a promise of predictions, but an exploration of the tone of that first breath (spirit) of life, that first moment. To “impress,” at its roots means to hold fast, to cover, and to strike. Perhaps we are covered, held fast, and struck by the moment of our birth. What we do with that impression is for each of us to choose.

Readings are done with an eye for decolonizing and dividing out simplistic and erroneous notions of history, season, nature, and humanity that are all too common in the modern, narrowed, commodified, astrological “elevator speeches” found on the internet, (especially in the United States).
